had selected 2 similar models of K&F Concept tripods (carbon fiber tripods and this one) and finally settled on this one and I like it...quite compact when folded, light weight (I don't think CF will be much lighter ) and pretty impressive when extended to the maximum. The preference for this model was given based on the function of the center bar, to lengthen it and turn it into a horizontal one (sometimes a pretty useful function) ... as cons: if you put all the legs (including the last thinnest) in the bottom 2 Fully extend leg lock positions it gets a little wobbly as it doesn't have bottom horizontal support bars (like umbrellas) but in both bottom positions you pull it in. You don't need to extend it unless you're a very tall basketball player because with only 2 larger section legs fully extended and center pole up and fully extended it goes over 6ft tall plus camera on top. Another "con" is that aluminum gets pretty cold quickly, especially in this freezing weather, and never try to lick it off :) As both "cons" apply to all similar tripods, this is not definitely a manufacturer's issue or the product quality, and if you use a tripod camera dolly, the stability problem is solved. As a suggestion, it would be great if it came with a spare camera mount adapter (the part that screws onto the bottom of the camera). So if you're either using 2 cameras, or using a camera with a regular and a long-range lens (in which case the lens is attached to the tripod), you should leave these adapters mounted on your gear and switch easily and quickly... Another design suggestion is , if some tripod manufacturers get a camera mount adapter designed to accept camera quick install screws (like this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BXTTMLU ), so you always need both the adapter and the screw can be attached to the camera. Those plate-like quick installs aren't as convenient as those little screws. All in all I am more than satisfied with this tripod. Value for money is definitely perfect considering similar tripods cost up to $400-900... and I'm waiting for my D850 and slightly warmer weather to go hunting for perfect sights... : ) And one more thing, It came with a carry case which is nice design, made of durable material and has light reflecting strips so you don't lose it at night :) I was thinking of carrying a tripod on my camera backpack but now thinking I am asking how to attach tripod bag to backpack :)

I'm an amateur photographer, but I go hiking most weekends and travel abroad. I've had the tripod for about three months. It has held up well on hikes. And it held up well on the overseas trip where I had to wear it most of the day, hiking and trekking through old buildings. Thanks to the case, it withstood the blows well. The fasteners and clamps have held up well through multiple adjustments. It has some weight, and I noticed that after a few days of carrying it on one side of my camera backpack, my shoulders began to complain. Attaching it to the back or bottom of the backpack solved the problem. Otherwise no complaints, great tripod!

Had to test the tripod in practice first. Super quick to set up! Very stable, firm stand, but there is still a hook on the underside, on which you can hang your backpack, for example. very flexible options, since you can bend a pipe by 90 degrees. This opens up unimagined possibilities. The ball head works great, so you can quickly set the camera straight in the field. For panoramic shots you can loosen the lower ring and rotate the camera on the tripod. You can turn the whole thing around to place the camera close to the ground. You can unscrew one leg, screw the rest back on top and get a "walking stick" to attach the camera to. When folded, you can easily attach it to a photo backpack. Weight 1.9KG. The functions are well thought out! I am very satisfied with the tripod and can recommend it, especially since the price/performance ratio is great.

Does what it's supposed to do

really like this tripod, will see how durable it is here in Finland in the coming months. The horizontal function is also amazing for the price. Should have included a phone holder to complete the set, I just bought a third party brand and it fits. The duffel bag is fine for travel too, but I want to attach the tripod to my bag so there are fewer bags to carry. Anyway, this is a quality product and I like and recommend it.

These are my first thoughts after unboxing my new tripod: There are many YouTube videos showing the unboxing of this tripod and there seem to be a few reviews with concerns about the packaging. Do not worry. The device is adequately packaged to be shipped undamaged. Items do not need to be packaged as if they were artifacts from a geological dig site. Also, Amazon is amazing when it comes to these issues. Just make sure you file claims within the correct time limits. Next, the tripod might only weigh about 3.2 pounds, but it feels a lot heavier. This may be due to the strong carrying case that is included. It's well made from heavy denier nylon canvas, so it weighs a ton alone and will likely last until the next Ice Age. But the weight is the main reason I bought this tripod. I need something light to handle the walks with my gear. I think I missed that mark with this purchase. This is not a hit to the tripod. I think I'll settle for the weight factor because this device is so well made. I also fear that a lighter tripod will be more unstable. But for those looking for a lightweight solution, consider the compromise and be aware that this isn't the lightest tripod out there. Anyone looking for a sturdy tripod at a reasonable price should stop hesitating. Now for the build quality. I am impressed. I honestly thought this would be like so many other products today. Cheaply made and just enough to last the warranty period. I am pleasantly surprised and find that the tripod is made of quality materials and is well made. I honestly feel like this product will last a long time if not abused. To be honest it seems as well made as any $300 tripod. I say this because during my research, several YouTube videos suggested that you should pay at least that much for a quality tripod. Well I agree with you from what I've seen, you get what you pay for, there are some anomalies in life and this is one of those occasions. I won't name names but from what I've seen this tripod is definitely as good as the other guys. The legs are stiff. That is a good thing. Not too stiff but it takes some effort to loosen and get them in place. I personally like that. Maybe they will loosen up with use. I hope not and time will tell. But I like the stiffness in them now because, for one, I don't feel like I'm going to move my legs so fast that I smash my fingers. I've had this experience and it's not fun! I feel a sense of security in the rigidity of the adjustments. You'll have to make the adjustments to see what I mean. One nuance immediately catches my eye. Leave the adjustment knobs on the ball head and tilt head slightly loose. This allows the head to move out of the way when closing the legs. Otherwise I fear damage. Of course, if you fit them tightly, the legs will not close completely. You also run the risk of damaging the head with friction by forcing the head to move when locked. Then later complain that it wanders when you tighten it. I can't say how durable the tripod will be, but I'm confident it will outlast me. With the right care, of course. Time will tell and I'll be back with additional thoughts after some use. But my first thoughts on this tripod are very positive. I'd say get it if you ride the fence.

The tripod seems very stable so far and is made of high-quality materials. The minimum height is a bit too high for me if you move your arm sideways (horizontally). A little heavy but definitely lighter - great value for money

Reviews piqued my curiosity and I wasn't disappointed. The tripod was delivered within 2 days. Unpacked and examined, conclusion, I bought the right thing. Only the operating instructions are somewhat poor, especially if you are looking for the boom. It is cleverly installed in the center column. Class for that 5 points. The height adjustability is impeccable. The adjustment possibilities of the ball head are flawless. I already have a heavy Manfrotto and a roll-up tripod. But this K&F will be my hero. The extremely maximum working height is also remarkable. The center of gravity is well balanced, also in the application of the boom. For this price you get a great all-round tripod. I've recently started trying my hand at photography and am currently putting together my equipment. For my trip next year I have already bought a small travel tripod, which will hopefully do its job. I bought this tripod for photography where I don't plan any long hikes and also simply for photo sessions in the area. I have to admit that I don't really want to emphasize the addition of a travel tripod, but it's a bit big and heavy. However, it is highly recommended for a not too long excursion on foot or generally by car. Just wouldn't take it on the plane or on mountain trips. The tripod comes with a carrying case that it fits comfortably in, not crunchy but not too big either. Setup: Setup is very easy and quick. With my travel tripod I have clamps to adjust the height and I have to admit that I like the screwing much better and that it is also easier to do by hand. It's incredibly highly adjustable for its compact size, and it's also very versatile. As you can see in the pictures, thanks to the remote shutter release, it is also suitable for photos that are taken close to the ground. With the extension arm I was then able to get even closer to the object. I find the small hook, which is attached centrally, to be relatively smart, so that the tripod can be weighed down and made even more stable if it is windy or the lens is a bit larger... thought of :) The extension arm is via a ball system attached, so you can either extend the arm and set the tripod even higher or, as I used it, deflect it in one direction from the central axis. The tripod head gets a star deduction from me in the mom's booklet, because I find that the panorama rotation is not smooth enough. (moaning at a high level) The angle can be changed evenly, but it could be a tick easier. I really like the ball head. The attachment is easy to loosen but very strong and makes an unbreakable impression. A dragonfly is installed for alignment and of course a quick-release plate for the camera. I can't say anything about the option for the monopod because I don't use it, but apparently it is necessary to use an adapter rod that comes with it... don't know if I would always think of it that way... Yes, bottom line, super versatile usable and apparently indestructible, but only partially suitable for travel in my opinion. For the price and the maximum height of about 2m I would estimate. Absolutely great :)

Wanted a tripod that I can use in many ways, such as close-ups that are close to the ground. Since I already have a few things from K&F Concept, I decided on this one again this time because the manufacturer is absolutely top so far. Processing as well as functionality and optics are top in my opinion. There are also no defects in terms of operation that screws or other parts are difficult to move. As said. The price for the quality is perfectly fine for me and I can recommend it
